The DJI Matrice 300 Laser Methane (CH₄) Leak Detector—developed on DJI Payload SDK—is a cutting-edge drone-integrated gas sensing solution leveraging Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS) technology. Engineered for ultra-high sensitivity, it can rapidly detect methane leaks from distances up to 80 meters or at concentrations as low as 5 ppm·m (parts per million·meter), setting a new standard for remote, non-contact gas leak monitoring. This advanced system redefines efficiency across multiple critical applications:
Gas Pipeline Inspection: Real-time monitoring of inspection status (drone telemetry, detector performance, and methane concentration data) ensures full visibility during operations. In the event of a pipeline leak, the system triggers automatic audio-visual alarms on the terminal device and records key data—including timestamp, GPS coordinates, leak concentration, and on-site photos—laying the groundwork for automatic inspection report generation post-mission.
Residential Building Gas Leak Detection: Supports both manual and automatic flight modes for residential complexes. With an ultra-fast 0.1-second detection response time, the laser methane telemeter identifies natural gas leaks at target points without requiring the drone to hover or stop. It provides real-time methane concentration readings for individual household kitchens, enabling rapid, non-intrusive safety checks.
Gas Station & Industrial Site Monitoring: Allows users to select station perimeters (or target areas) and automatically generate optimized inspection routes. Beyond gas stations, it is also ideal for methane leak monitoring at landfills and pre-arrival safety checks for LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) carriers. Post-inspection, leak points are automatically marked on the map, with detailed information (concentration, location, timestamp) accessible via one-click icon selection.
