The DJI M350 parachute system is developed based on the DJI SDK and communicates seamlessly with the DJI Matrice 350 platform. Equipped with the next-generation APS 3.0 intelligent deployment algorithm, the OWL-350 parachute integrates deeply with DJI flight control data to deliver precise situational awareness and reliable emergency protection. Working in tandem with the drone, it enhances operational safety, prevents accidental damage, and serves as the most advanced parachute solution available for the M350.

  • Integrated DJI SDK Development Developed on DJI SDK, the system synchronizes with DJI flight control in real time, continuously monitoring flight status to ensure rapid and accurate emergency response.
  • Industrial-Grade Sensors with APS 3.0 Algorithm The OWL-350 parachute features dual industrial-grade sensors combined with the APS 3.0 algorithm. It accurately identifies abnormal conditions such as free-fall, overspeed, tumbling, spinning impact, and abnormal propeller vibration.
  • Fusion of Drone Data and Parachute Sensors APS 3.0 acquires real-time attitude data via DJI’s PSDK interface and fuses it with onboard parachute sensor data. The enhanced algorithm increases deployment speed by 20% and incorporates a tangle-free attitude calculation to determine optimal deployment timing. In critical moments, power cutoff, propeller stop, and parachute launch are completed within milliseconds.
  • Redundant Sensor Architecture The M350 parachute adopts a redundant sensor design to handle complex environments. If one sensor module fails, the backup module immediately takes over to maintain accurate flight-status recognition and ensure uninterrupted protection.
  • Next-Generation Parachute Structure A newly engineered aluminum-alloy mounting system preserves the drone’s original structure while offering high rigidity and convenient installation. The parachute can be mounted without removing the drone’s arm screws.
  • Comprehensive Visual and Acoustic Alerts Built to international safety standards, the system includes propeller-stop protection and dual high-power buzzers that activate upon deployment. Solid red indicator lights provide clear warnings to people on the ground.
  • Independent Power System With a built-in backup battery, the OWL-350 remains operational even if the PSDK cable is disconnected or the drone power fails. It can continue functioning for up to 30 minutes after losing connection, ensuring reliable emergency capability at all times.
  • Controlled Descent Speed Descent speed is limited to 3.5 m/s, resulting in an impact energy of only 55 joules—equivalent to a free fall from just 0.7 meters for the DJI M350.
  • Fully Enclosed Parachute Compartment The sealed compartment protects the parachute from environmental interference. Its coated fabric is lightweight, moisture-resistant, and chemically protected, capable of remaining maintenance-free for up to two years.
