The OWL Emergency Recovery Landing Parachute for the DJI M300 drone is designed to ensure safe flight and emergency recovery in case of system failure. Powered by the DJI onboard SDK, the parachute system communicates directly with the DJI Matrice 300 drone. Featuring a dual IMU and dual barometer sensor redundancy design, it ensures real-time sensor data acquisition from both the drone and the parachute system. The data fusion between these two sensors is used to determine the optimal time for parachute deployment, ensuring flight safety.
The OWL DJI M300 parachute is equipped with an advanced safety algorithm that reduces hazard response time to just 0.5 seconds. In an emergency, the parachute can be manually deployed as well. The system ensures a controlled descent with a stabilized speed of 3.5 m/s (tested with a 9 kg drone). During forced landing, a high-power buzzer continuously emits a 110 dB warning sound, alerting ground personnel to move out of the way and ensuring safety.
