The DJI M350 Drone-Mounted Cooled Infrared Optical Thermal Camera is a purpose-built non-contact detection device engineered exclusively for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) gas leakage monitoring. Operating within the 3.2 μm to 3.5 μm mid-wave infrared spectrum—an optimal range for VOCs absorption and identification—it can detect micro-leaks of over 400 types of VOCs and volatile liquids, including methane, ethanol, gasoline, benzene, toluene. This specialized camera delivers exceptional sensitivity for early leak detection, addressing the critical need for proactive industrial safety management.
At the core of this system lies a high-end cooled mid-wave class II superlattice infrared detector, which ensures rapid conversion of gas leakage signals into clear thermal images. Unlike uncooled detectors, the cooled design minimizes thermal noise, enabling the camera to identify even trace-level leaks that might otherwise go undetected. Specifically optimized for open atmospheric environments, it excels at long-distance (up to 300 meters) and large-area leak screening of petrochemical production facilities, storage tanks, and pipeline networks. Beyond mere detection, the camera leverages advanced image processing algorithms to accurately pinpoint leak sources and quantify emission intensity—significantly reducing inspection time and improving leak response efficiency compared to traditional manual methods.
The integrated system comprises a DJI M300/M350 RTK drone with a gimbal-mounted VOCs gas leak infrared camera, supported by the drone’s dual-image transmission technology for real-time visualization of leak conditions. This configuration eliminates the need for personnel to enter high-risk areas (e.g., confined spaces, toxic gas zones), enhancing operational safety while expanding monitoring coverage.
